I had an incredible time with this project. Just an interesting technical note… on many of the dancing shots, I was using a Nikon flash along with my Canon 20D. To make this work, I set my shutter speed to 1/6 of a second, then held the flash in the air with my left hand, manually triggering it within that 1/6 of a second. This was the first time I’d tried using this particular technique, and though it wasn’t necessarily easy or desirable, it produced some very cool images. On a separate note, both Brian and Shea were a joy to work with and I’m very honored to have been a part of their special occasion. Enjoy the slideshow.
