4:19 AM.

One month and one day since I last posted. That’s just too long.

I’m up early this morning because I couldn’t sleep. Working hard on a project that I cannot wait to show.

Here’s a quote from one of the voices in my head that’s kept me up all night:

“I don’t think that I’m a creator. I really believe that everything that will be created has already been created. I have no ability to further the process of creation. It is what it is. Matter can not be created or destroyed, neither can truth. Ideas are subsequently not new creations of the human mind but rather discoveries - discoveries of abilities that we already possess. When Edison invented the light bulb, he certainly did not create anything new, rather he simply combined elements of our world that already existed. Glass, metal, electricity - all of these existed before as they did after invention. So essentially the idea for the light bulb was not a creation of new circumstances but rather a discovery of potential that had existed forever. The light bulb was just as possible a million years before Edison as it was after. It was Edison who simply discovered this possibility. Creation is an illusion. Everything is already created.”

I’d argue that thoughts and ideas can be created. If I say to you now, “think of a kitten,” your mind will send you an image of a kitten. You are not creating a kitten, or any part of one, but you are creating that thought. The thought itself is original and it did not exist until you created it.
