I was born in Raleigh, North Carolina. I have worked as a barista, a radio DJ, a play-by-play announcer, a freelance writer, a multimedia producer, and a photographer. I started shooting as an assistant when I was 14. Photography is wonderful; so is audio and video and poetry, etc. I like to tell stories that matter.
I've been published by The New Yorker, The News and Observer, SI.com, The Independent, WRAL.com, The Wilmington Star News, Vype Magazine, and others.
I like running in minimalist shoes, drinking beer on a patio, telling jokes from the back seat of a car, and reading books about Buddhism. I also own a business: www.organicexposurephoto.com.
