NASHVILLE SYMPHONY CHORUS

2014 for The Nashville Symphony

This series of photos is a project for the Nashville Symphony Chorus, in Nashville, Tennessee. The project was designed to "introduce" a small set of chorus members to the public. This series combines documentary photos of three members of the NSC in their day-to-day environments with environmental portraits of the members in their concert attire. Also included are brief interviews with each chorus member (below).

CHAD STUIBLE, BASS

Chad Stuible is the owner of Sky Blue Cafe in trendy East Nashville. His cafe is a fixture of the neighborhood, and his laid-back personality influences the atmosphere of his cafe.

ABBEY FRANCIS, SOPRANO

At the time of these photos, Abbey Francis was a Belmont University graduate, a section leader in a small church choir, as well as a singer in the Nashville Symphony Chorus. She loves hanging out at Bongo Java, one of Nashville's many coffee shops as well as sketching outdoors on nice days.

DAVE PISTON, TENOR

At the time of these photos, Dave Piston was a prominent professor of Biochemistry at Vanderbilt University. His research focuses on the biochemical processes involved in insulin systems in the body–namely as it pertains to diabetes.
